Formation of Conjugated Polymer Monolayer Networks on Water Surface and Nonlinear Charge Transport

OBJECTIVE.
The research group including Professor Shusaku Nagano, Assistant Professor Yuya Ishizaki, Graduate Student Naoki Hara, Graduate Student Taikai Matsuda from the College of Science at Rikkyo University, has succeeded in creating a monolayer network of conductive polymers that mimics the neural network structure found in the brain, and controlling its nanostructure (film density, layered structure, molecular orientation, etc.) by using a unique technology called the liquid crystal mixing and spreading method that utilizes the water surface.
The results of this research were published in Advanced Electronic Materials -Wiley Journal on September 17th.
