OBJECTIVE.
The College of Business at Rikkyo University, an AACSB-accredited institution, is seeking applications for a tenure-track, full-time Assistant Professor position in International Business and Management.
- Position:
Assistant Professor (Class T, Tenure-track full-time position)
- Affiliation:
College of Business, Department of Global Business
- Duties:
Responsibilities include teaching and research, admissions examinations, assistance with the administration of the College of Business and the Graduate School of Business, and other administrative work under the supervision of the Dean or the Graduate School Chair.
- Field of Specialization:
International Business/Management (includes allied areas)
- Courses:
International Business-A・B, Global Innovation Management, Seminars, Graduate level courses (such as Module 1 and Final Research Project) and other Undergraduate and Graduate courses
- Starting date:
April 1, 2027 (The starting date will be decided through consultation.)
- Terms of Employment:
The tenure-track period is three years, with a maximum duration of four years. In the event tenure is not granted, the appointment may be renewed for up to one additional year at the rank of Assistant Professor (Class A). The terms and conditions of appointment are governed by Rikkyo University's regulations for assistant professors.
- Qualifications:
1) Ph.D. in Business/Management, or an applicable/allied field of specialization in line with courses listed above.
2) Demonstrated capability to carry out research in the field of specialization
3) Ability to contribute to the curriculum development of the College of Business
4) Demonstrated capability to teach in English（ability to also teach in Japanese preferred）
5) Duties related to entrance examinations.
6) Other duties as requested by the Dean of the College of Business or Head of the Graduate School of Business.
※ There is no age limit; however, the retirement age is 65.
- Compensation:
Conditions of employment are determined by the University's regulations.
Salary: 7,100,000 yen (annual amount before deductions) with regular annual pay raise. Employee welfare benefits and research funding in accordance with university regulations.
- Selection process: Document review, followed by interviews and teaching demonstrations for short-listed candidates.

3) Research and educational goals as a member of the College of Business team (maximum length 500 words)
