Keyword:RESEARCH

OBJECTIVE.

A research group including Associate Professor Shinya Yamada of the Department of Physics, College of Science, Rikkyo University, Nao Kominato (3rd year doctoral student) of the Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science, Rikkyo University, and Researcher Ryota Hayakawa, has succeeded in observing a new exotic atomic system called "multiply charged muon ions" by making full use of a cutting-edge X-ray detector called a "Superconducting Transition-Edge Sensor (TES)" .
