OBJECTIVE.
We have been discussing how to conduct our classes in fall semester, while closely monitoring the viral spread of COVID-19. We are still not in a situation, however, to predict how COVID-19 will turn around especially in Tokyo and Saitama, where our campuses are located. There are a number of cases, where young people have been tested positive against COVID-19.
Based on such situation today, our classes in fall semester, 2020 are going to be held online basically, but some classes will meet face-to-face on campus provided that preventive measures are carefully taken.
The viral spread of COVID-19 hasn’t been contained even today. We make sure to prioritize our students’ safety and health and continue to take necessary measures. We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation to overcome this difficult situation.

Style of classes in Fall Semester
Classes in fall semester are going to be held online basically, but some classes will meet face-to-face on campus provided that preventive measures are carefully taken. Face-to-face classes will be announced on academic affairs of RIKKYO SPIRIT on Wednesday, July 22.
Note:
- Depending on the viral spread of COVID-19, the classes, which have been scheduled to meet face-to-face may be switched to online in the middle of semester.
- There are some classes, whose styles haven’t been determined, but we will make an announcement before course registration begins.
- A majority of classes are going to be conducted online, so students are not required to travel to Tokyo from local areas in Japan or overseas. Some classes, however, are scheduled to meet face-to-face. Please go to visit the website mentioned above for the details. In addition, if you are unable to participate in face-to-face classes because of the travel restriction from overseas, we make every effort for you to be able to take classes online.

Changes for exam methods to be held at the end of fall semester and academic year
There will be no written exams. All the report exams to be submitted will be accepted only via “Rikkyo Jikan.”

- The courses, whose syllabi say “written exam(s)” for evaluation will alter their exam methods. We will make an announcement for such courses, whose evaluation’s alteration may take place on academic affairs of RIKKYO SPIRIT by Friday, September 4, and its syllabi will be updated accordingly.

Class schedule for Fall Semester
Classes for fall semester will be carried out as originally scheduled without changing the dates. However, written exams during the exam period will not be conducted as mentioned above.
