Industry-University-Government Partnerships and Intellectual Property
Research Activities
At Rikkyo University, we consider our research results valuable intellectual property and actively work to protect and utilize them. We also engage in exchange with government, administrative bodies, business, and groups and individuals within Japan and internationally to utilize the University’s knowledge and networks together with society.
Industry-University-Government Partnerships
In order to extensively contribute and utilize our research results in society, Rikkyo University actively works with local government, businesses, NPOs and other organizations.
We receive commissions from organizations outside of the University (such as private enterprises, government agencies, and local government) to engage in research by organizations, faculty members, etc. within the University institutions.
The University researchers engage in joint research of specific research themes together with researchers from outside organizations such as private enterprises, government agencies, and local government. Joint research can develop into major project-based research, sometimes even leading to patent applications.
We receive donations to promote Rikkyo Gakuin research from organizations outside of the University and individuals. Donors can make donations to specific researchers.
Intellectual Property
We consider our research results valuable intellectual property and actively work to protect and utilize them. We encourage an environment for a smooth intellectual creation cycle of creation, protection, and utilization. As we contribute our knowledge back to society through exchange with industry and government, we actively engage in technology transfer of the intellectual property we hold to companies and other organizations.
