OBJECTIVE.
Opening for one contract full-time Specially Appointed Associate Professor position (Specially Appointed Faculty Member, Class F) with a specialization in International Business / International Relations at the College of Business, Rikkyo University.

2. Faculty
College of Business, Department of Global Business
3. Duties
Teaching, research, assistance with admission examinations, faculty administration duties, and other tasks requested by the Dean or Chair
4. Field of Research
International Business / International Relations
5. Content of work
1) To teach 5-7 classes a week (10 to 14 teaching units per year) on topics related to international business and international relations in the undergraduate (e.g., International Business, Global Strategic Management, Business Negotiation) and graduate programs (e.g., International Relations, Supervision of graduate students)
2) Carry out research activities which related to their specialized field and classes taught
3) Duties related to entrance examinations
4) Other duties as requested by the Dean of the College of Business or Head of the Graduate School of Business
6. Starting date
September 1, 2025
7. Term of Employment
One-year contract (Renewable annually four times, i.e., up to five years in total)
8. Qualifications
1) Ph.D. in International Management, International Relations, or an applicable field to teach the classes listed above
2) Demonstrated capability in to carry out research in the field of specialization
3) Demonstrated capability to contribute to undergraduate and graduate courses, seminars, and research instruction
4) Demonstrated capability to teach and supervise students via English
5) Capability to teach via Japanese is desirable
※There is no age limit; however, the retirement age is 65 years old
9. Compensation
Conditions of employment are determined by the University's regulations.
Salary: 8,000,000 yen (annual amount before deductions)
This position is ineligible for bonuses.
10. Selection method
Document review, followed by interviews and teaching demonstrations for short-listed candidates
