OBJECTIVE.
College of Economics Associate Professor Takeshi Sakuramoto’s seminar team participated in the International Statistical Literacy Project (ISLP)’s Poster Competition 2020-2021, held July 11-16, 2021, as the representative of Japan.

The Japan Statistical Society’s Special Committee of Statistical Education, which carried out the domestic screening for the competition, selected Sakuramoto’s seminar team of three third-year students -- Kotaro Bito, Riku Tsuchiya and Hikari Kobayashi -- as the Japan team.
The competition was initially scheduled to take place in The Hague, the Netherlands, as a presentation contest to coincide with the International Statistical Institute’s World Statistics Congress 2021. Instead, the ISLP Poster Competition website exhibited the participating posters on July 11-16. The judges evaluated them and reported the results to the respective countries.
The ISLP operates under the International Association for Statistical Education.
