OBJECTIVE.
Rikkyo University tied for the 27th place among domestic universities in the Asia University Rankings by Times Higher Education (THE), a British educational journal.
THE World University Rankings 2020 covers about 1,400 universities across the world and ranks them based on their scores in the five metrics of teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.
The Asian version of the 2020 THE rankings is based on the evaluation of 489 universities, with indexes based on the global version but partially adjusted for this regional version.
In the latest rankings, Rikkyo received a high score in the international outlook metric, becoming the third highest among Japanese universities. The metric consists of three indicators: the proportion of international students, international staff and international collaboration in writing academic articles.
