About Us

Mission

The Rikkyo University Library advances the University's mission of learning, teaching, and research by collecting, organizing, managing, and providing access to a great variety of information world-wide. The collection contains over 1.7 million volumes of print and non-print materials, including the Protestant Episcopal Church collection and Edogawa Rampo collection. The Library also provides interactive instructions to enhance its users' information literacy.

Library Structure

The Library includes five libraries; Ikebukuro Library (1-3F open on Sep.22 and grand opening on Nov. 7), Main Library (close on Nov. 6), and Humanities Library (close on Oct. 30) on Ikebukuro Campus, and Niiza Library and Niiza Repository Library on Niiza Campus.

Library Policies

  1. A valid Rikkyo ID card or Library card is required to use the Rikkyo University Library.
  2. Books must be returned by the due date.
  3. Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited in the Library.
    ※Limited access to drink. Beverage containers must be twist top bottles.
  4. The use of cellular phones is prohibited in the Library.
  5. Take the utmost care not to lose or damage materials. Writing or underlining in materials is prohibited.
  6. Library materials or your personal belongings must not be left on the desks. Keep your valuables with you.
