06/11/2009

To All Rikkyo Students, Faculty, and Staff

Although the Ministry of Health has acknowledged that H1N1 influenza is similar in strength to seasonal flu, nevertheless infection continues to spread and some persons have died in various places, therefore measures to prevent infection are still needed.

While continuing to monitor local government agencies, and preparing for specific measures depending on the situation, Rikkyo University will continue to operate educational activities of teaching and research as usual.

However, because the situation may change in the future, we ask that all members check the university homepage (http://www.rikkyo.ac.jp) each day for emergency announcements.

For overseas and domestic trips to affected areas, please pay attention to the latest updates and exercise caution.

Be sure to consult a doctor on appearance of serious symptoms such as cough, fever above 38 degrees Celsius, chills, joint pain, nausea, and diarrhea. If you suspect you may have the flu, please immediately call the Rikkyo University Health Care Room (03-3985-2651), or Niiza Campus Hralth Care Room (048-471-6680).
