The College of Intercultural Communication at Rikkyo University seeks applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in Language Studies, Interpreting & Translation Studies, Communication Studies, or Global Studies.

Responsibilities | (1) teach all levels of communication skills courses (Communication Seminar) and designated courses in English based on the need of the college and the individual’s expertise; (2) teach English courses in the Center for General Curriculum Development; and (3) fulfill administrative responsibilities assigned by the college. |
Type of Employment | Full time (one year appointment to begin April 2016. The contract is renewable on an annual basis up to four times.) |
Qualifications | Applicants must: (1) possess native or near-native proficiency in English; (2) have a good command of Japanese; (3) have a master's degree (or PhD) in Language Studies, Interpreting & Translation Studies, Communication Studies, or Global Studies; and (4) have a strong record of quality teaching and demonstrated potential for scholarly research |
