The College of Intercultural Communication at Rikkyo University seeks applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in Intercultural Communication Research, Area and Cultural Studies, Language Education, or a related field.

1. PositionAssistant Professor (non-tenured)
2. Areas of SpecializationIntercultural Communication Research, Area and Cultural Studies, Language Education, or a related field
3. Responsibilities(1) teach all levels of communication skills courses (Communication Seminar) and advanced courses in English based on the need of the college and the individual's expertise.
(2) fulfill administrative responsibilities assigned by the college.
4. Type of EmploymentFull time (one year appointment to begin April 2014. The contract is renewable on an annual basis up to four times.)
5. QualificationsApplicants must:
(1) possess native or near-native proficiency in English;
(2) have a good command of Japanese;
(3) have a master's degree (or PhD) in Intercultural Communication Research, Area and Cultural Studies, Language Education, or a related field; and
(4) have a strong record of quality teaching and demonstrated potential for scholarly research
