International Office would like to invite you to the Lecture in English titled "How You Can Cope with a Disaster"

This presentation focuses on how you can cope with emotional distress after a major disaster such as the earthquake and tsunami. By addressing common patterns of responses to a frightening experience, a presenter will provide audiences with some strategies to sustain themselves in the aftermath.

Profile of Aska Aoshima,
After having earned the first Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University, Ms. Aoshima has worked in the fields of international development and humanitarian assistance in various countries with Asia/Pacific Cultural Center for UNESCO, UNICEF and JEN. She obtained her second Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University and her clinical experiences include helping families and individuals of all ages dealing with medical conditions, depression, eating disorders, trauma, relationship and adjustment difficulties. Ms. Aoshima joined the Tokyo English Life Line (TELL) in October 2009 as TELL’s Child Protection Services Coordinator and Psychotherapist, and has become the new Coordinator of TELL Children and Families since May 2011.
