The Center for Research Initiatives

The Center for Research Initiatives of Rikkyo University was established on October 1, 2004. The aims of the center are to enhance research activities at Rikkyo University in both qualitative and quantitative terms, using the results to contribute to raising the level of academic research in Japan and the world as a whole, and to engage in various support activities that are essential for the results of research to be passed on to education within the university and the wider community.

The center provides support to individual research activities originating in Rikkyo University, through which researchers and research institutes affiliated with the university engage in collaboration with external organizations, including companies, government administrative bodies and other universities.

The main activities of the center are as follows:

  1. Promotion of project-type joint research
  2. Promotion of academia-industry collaboration and regional collaboration
  3. Acquisition and utilization of external funding
  4. Support for individual research activities
  5. Efficient and fair research accounting
  6. Promotion of IP activities
