Xiamen University graduate students visit Rikkyo University to attend classes

OBJECTIVE.

Seventeen graduate students and one teacher from Xiamen University visited Rikkyo University November 26 to attend three classes given by the Graduate School of Economics, Graduate School of Business and Graduate School of Business Administration. Xiamen University is one of Rikkyo University’s Student Exchange Partners.

“The transfer of Japanese business models abroad – Case study of door-to-door delivery service in Taiwan” by Professor Teruhiro Minato of the Graduate School of Economics

The visit came at the request of Xiamen University, which ranks No. 12 among more than 2,000 Chinese universities. The students are enrolled in a non-degree, Executive Development Program offered by the Xiamen University’s School of Management. It is a regular business school program for high-ranking corporate officials.

The Chinese visitors were first greeted by Rikkyo University President Yangchoon Kwak, after which they attended the following classes:

–“The transfer of Japanese business models abroad – Case study of door-to-door delivery service in Taiwan” by Professor Teruhiro Minato of the Graduate School of Economics
–“Human resource management at Japanese corporations” by Professor Jun Ishikawa of the Graduate School of Business
–“Creation and revolution of business models” by Specially Appointed Professor Tsuyoshi Kimura

The students received a certificate for attending the classes from Professor Seongbin Hwang, head of Rikkyo University’s International Office. They also went on a tour of the campus guided by Rikkyo students.
