Rikkyo Second Stage College commenced in April 2008 as a venue for the continuing education of senior citizens. The curriculum is composed of three course clusters: the "Aging Society Education Course Cluster," the "Community Design and Business Course Cluster," and the "Second Stage Design Course Cluster." Students must also enroll in a seminar. Second Stage College offers systematic, high-quality education and training and multifaceted learning that is distinct from education provided by a culture center or extension course. Furthermore, students wishing to engage in more specialized learning after completing this one year course may study for another one year in courses of their specialization.
