Volunteer Center

The Volunteer Center was founded in June 2003 to foster community service. It encourages students to actively undertake activities that foster human growth and improve society through collaboration. The Center has inherited the ethos of the various volunteer activities carried out by students and teaching faculty throughout Rikkyo University's long history. The Center promotes volunteer activities as a means for students to experience connections with people in a wider society who possess diverse outlooks and perspectives.
By fomenting collective action, the Center aims to restore true selves and immediate reactions. The following is a sample of its activities: providing information on volunteer possibilities, offering consultation on volunteerism, holding lectures and seminars, designing and administering activities, and coordinating information exchange sessions between volunteer groups.
