Scholarship Initial Registration

To apply for internal scholarships and university recommendation scholarships, every year you must carry out annual scholarship initial registration.

For students who have done application registration, we determine their recommendation ranking by comprehensively assessing graduate students by document screening and interviews, assessing undergraduates in their 2nd year or after by their performance evaluation index, and assessing undergraduates in their 1st year and transferring to the 3rd year by the evaluation of a short thesis. Then, based on this recommendation ranking, we select recipients and recommended applicants for internal and external scholarships.

Even if you have already been selected for a scholarship this year, you must carry out scholarship initial registration this year so that you can apply this year to receive a scholarship next year. (This does not include applications for a Japanese Ministry of Education (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship for International Students.

(2)Selection evaluation methods and determination of recommendation ranking

The university recommendation ranking is determined by selection evaluation methods depending on enrolled course and year (or category), as shown below. The university recommendation ranking for each category is used throughout that year to select recipients and recommended applicants for internal and external scholarships.
