Urban Regeneration Movements in the Pacific Rim: Commemorative Conference for the 60th Anniversary of Rikkyo College of Sociology(November 10, 2018)

OBJECTIVE.

The college of Sociology, Rikkyo University, holds an international workshop on 10th November 2018.This is part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary for the foundation of the College in 1958, which has grown to one of the largest schools of sociology in Japan with eminent specialists.

The workshop is jointly organized by the Rikkyo Institute for Global Urban Studies which has regularly organized collaborative international conferences since its establishment of 2007. There have been various activities and programs undertaken by local governments and other corporate actors that have led to the rejuvenation of urban areas, and thus at the workshop we would cover some different types of redevelopment and movements that arise to re-vitalize world cities.
