Admissions Flow

1. Application Preparations

  • Collect information on the Rikkyo program you wish to enter → [1]
  • Prepare the funds you will need for your study in Japan
  • Select your prepared college and department → [2]
  • Take the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)
  • Request materials

2. Application → [3]

  • Submit your application online
  • Mail the application documents

3. Entrance Exam → [4]

  • Undergo the admission by written exam and interview or the admission by document screening

4. Enrollment Preparation

  • Pay the admission fee and other academic fees
  • Submit the documents needed for enrollment procedures
  • Complete visa procedures
  • Finalize housing

[4] Entrance Exam for International Students

There is an entrance exam system for international students who want to pursue a degree at Rikkyo University. Applicants will be subject to one of the following assessment processes: (1) admission by written exam and interview or (2) admission by document screening. Students will enroll in April.
Applicant Qualifications: For applicants outside of the Japanese education system, Rikkyo requires a minimum of five years of education for admission consideration, equivalent to Japan’s grades 7 through 12.
